Obituary of Francis Neale

Francis I. "Stub" Neale, 63, of 223 Allen Road, St. Johnsville, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2002, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born September 14, 1939, in Edmonston, son of the late William and Mary (Green) Neale. Francis was educated in Mohawk schools and moved to the St. Johnsville area in 1981. His marriage to Elizabeth Sanders took place on June 25, 1983, at St. Johnsville United Methodist Church. Mr. Neale served his country during the Vietnam era, being honorably discharged on March 31, 1969, with the rank of SP4. For 25 years, Francis worked for Beech-Nut in Canajoharie, retiring in September 2001. Mr. Neale was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Elizabeth; three daughters, Linda Guile and husband Harold of Dolgeville, Tammie and Willard Green Jr. of Germantown and Judy Bauer of Gloversville; four sons, Thomas Juwett and wife Carol of Bridgewater, Steven Juwett and wife Donna of Ilion, Ronald Juwett of Mohawk and William Juwett and friend Lorraine Cagwin of Dolgeville; three stepchildren, Linda Passero of Johnstown, Elizabeth McDermott of St. Johnsville and Robert Lyons and wife Shelly of St. Johnsville; one sister, Ruthann Gott and husband Thomas of Edmonston; 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Larry Neale; one sister, Esther Dennison; and one stepdaughter, Marilyn Jane White. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, at 8 p.m. from the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, with Reverend R.W. Williams, pastor of Mt. Valley Hospice, officiating. Spring interment will take place in West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 10, from 6 p.m. until the time of the services. All memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice, 73 N. Main St., Gloversville, NY 12078.
