My condolences to Tom’s family. How blessed were you to have Tom, especially as father or grandfather. I, and likely many others, so wanted to attend his wake and funeral, but couldn’t due to the weather. It’s unfortunate as he meant a lot to many in our community. For many years, my daughters and I sat near Tom in the back of church for Sunday mass. He was always so kind and friendly and often shared life wisdom and advice with me. I hadn’t seen him in a while and missed him. I’m glad to know he’s at peace, home with our Lord, but those of us left here are poorer without him. Rest In Peace, kind man. God bless.

Tom was a good friend of mine while I worked at WLFH. It was my first full time job in radio. He was on before me and we had a ball together. A lot of laughter. We were very proud of what we accomplished at WLFH because the station was in ruins at the time and we were operating out of a trailor with all new management and personal. I guess I'm the last one left. I was able to keep in touch with Tom through the digital age with e mail and Facebook and saw him a few times and raised a couple in the last twenty years. R. I P. old friend.

When thinking of our friend ,Tom, cant imagine what would come first: the IRISH or the CATHOLIC...He treasured both.
Tom could be considered up there along with vaudevillians Danny Kaye, Donald oConnor and the priest in the Bells of St. Mary's.
Song...dance...performing: all among his strengths along with his caring "hometown-ness". Tom graciously volunteered when needed ( church, festivals, even as a memorable voice via local WLFH). His wit, his fact sharing self ,his very presence will certainly be missed by us.....by many. Look out,Heaven,....here he comes.:)

"The sign saying “Welcome Tom Malley” which welcomed him to the Waterville Long Term Care facility has a new meaning now, welcoming him to the ultimate long term residence...now unbroken, well, and restored to vigor beyond anything he experienced here.
...and vigor he had.
The photos I have assembled from as far back as 2004 when he and Craobh Dugan entertained residents at the Masonic Home ; from St Patrick’s Parades in Utica as a flag bearer; and dancing at a “Passing of the Shillelagh” at the Irish Cultural Center show that vigort and enthusiasm generated by his love of all things Irish..
Tom has been the John C Devereux’ Division’s deep connection to Irish culture and one of few Gaelic teachers carrying the Irish language forward.
Few of us , indeed, don’t wish we’d known Tom at least a little better, but we all celebrate him having crossed our paths
