Obituary of Peter Stockigt
Mr. Peter Stockigt Sr., age 73, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the MVHS St. Luke’s Campus. Born in Richfield Springs on May 24, 1949, Peter was the son of the late Hubert and Pearl (Bogart) Stockigt. His childhood years were spent growing up and working on his family farm. On January 24, 1970, Peter was married to the former Roberta Hoage and together they shared in over 52 years together. Roberta’s tribute to her husband is as follows: “Beloved husband…you were a great man, great husband, father, uncle, brother, cousin, and grandfather. You were a hard-worker all of your life; from farming to working at the Remington Arms for forty-five years. You took care of us and you were kind to everyone and anyone. You had a joking sense of humor and everybody loved you. You helped many people, both family and others. We are all going to miss you greatly and we are all so grateful that you are with Jesus. You are now forever healthy, forever happy and most of all forever in peace.” Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta; by his sons, Peter Stockigt of Kentucky, Christopher Stockigt of Frankfort and Matthew Stockigt and wife, Grace, of Richfield Springs; his grandchildren, Cassie Stockigt, Emilee Stockigt, Kayla Stockigt, Dalen Stockigt, Nickalus Stockigt, Brett Clemmons, Charles Baker, Dean Baker and Amiee Baker; one great-granddaughter, Ella Nichols; brothers, Ernest Stockigt and wife, Louise, and Jessie Stockigt and wife, Patty; his sisters, Cindy Wilbur and her husband Mark, Carey Sullivan and her husband Skip, Rachel Couse, and Daisy Effner, along with several nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his brothers, George Stockigt and Richard Stockigt. In keeping with Pete’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.
